Halloween, Moose River CG
Carol (Mary), Mary (Winifred), and Me (Sarah) October 8th - The campground celebrated Halloween. Mary, Carol and I dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus. I made a spell book for Winifred and a vacuum for Mary and a charcuterie board of cheeses and fruits shaped like the sisters. Everyone hated to take any because it would destroy it. We dressed in the afternoon and sat on the porch, but at 40 degrees, it was just too cold to stay there long. Everyone just lo

The local distillery put on a display of their flavored rums, gin and beer you could taste test. They also would make cocktails for $7 each. Apparently, they did well because they asked

Chili Anyone?, Moose River CG
July 30, 2022 - We had a chili contest this weekend. Mary set up for six contestants and five showed up. She gave each a stew pot to put the chili in so no one would know their own chili by the pot/crockpot. After taste testing all five samples, we voted for the best to the worst then enjoyed a bowl for dinner. Four people were seasonal campers, including me, and one weekly camper. The weekly camper won first place, and she gave me her recipe. Boy, you wouldn't believe
