Happy Halloween Oct 20, 2019 - The campground celebrated Columbus Day by having a Halloween Party. We had contests for decorated sites, carved pumpkins and costumes to win prizes. During the day, Mary, Jack and I put cups on a large wooden board in the shape of a pumpkin then filled each with either candy, gift certificates, gift cards, or money. During the month of July into August, Jack and I volunteered to help do some updates to the campground by painting the house, office and shed. After several days, we finished painting the house, the office, and the shed in back that had never been painted before. Now only the doors and window trims need to be done with a dark green. Boy, what a job! We painted the entire house, the office, laundry room and the shed.

Aug 23, 2019 - The campground prepares a dinner of steak AND lobster for all the "seasonal campers" (those who are here all summer). This year we had 27 campers attend. The steaks were done just the way you liked them, and the lobsters were perfect. One of the seasonal campers who was not there, always cracks open the lobster for Mary, the owner. It was fun watching Mary try to crack the lobster herself and finally give up and asked someone to do it for her! We also had

Aug 17, 2019 - The campground had a pig roast potluck today. The pig was put on the spit and cooked to perfection. We had lots of people attend and the selection of food was great. Afterwards, we were entertained by Jay, the comedian who did a great job making fun of his life and picking on the audience members.

Aug 3, 2019 - The campground celebrated 22 years of ownership today, August 3, 2019. We had a really good sheet cake with both chocolate and vanilla cake and chocolate and vanilla ice cream to go with it.

Jun 30, 2019 - This morning we woke up to some very bad news; Milo, the owners beautiful black cat was hit by a car. Gary got him and buried him in the backyard with other pets they have had. Milo was such a sweet and lovable cat and we were all in tears. The other cats, Toby and Sweetpie miss him too; they have been looking around and meowing a lot. Both cats and humans miss him so very much. Milo

Sept 22, 2019 - Sue & Bryant came up for a visit and she participated in the campground's chili cook off. To her surprise, she came in first out of six participants and received $50 and a new chili pot to take home. Needless to say, she was thrilled, and Bryant will never live it down! Jul 21, 2019 - We all know about Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We took the tour and tasted samples. They are now selling the "bits" they put in the ice cream. Today's sample was Broccoli Cheddar Chunk (just kidding). The real flavor was Americone Dream, a vanilla ice cream that tasted like an old fashion waffle cone with chocolate and caramel; pretty good. Jun 17, 2019 - There is a nice pond in the campground. One day, a woman was leaning over the fence and broke it, so Mary decided she wanted a brick wall built and oh by the way, put in a waterfall down to the pond. So, the guys got started on building one. It took them only four days but look how great it looks now.

Memorial Day weekend May 25, 2019 - We played bingo, had hamburgers and hot dogs with a potluck for dinner and country music entertainment show with Sherri's Jubilee. We also played a game where we had to take turns unwrapping a cellophane ball to get to prizes wrapped inside. Mary and I wrapped two of them the day before, there were 15 items in each ball, and we had to make sure most of them were covered by the cellophane. May 21, 2019 - It's been raining here since we arrived. The campground has been muddy and now another rainstorm came our way. The river, right in back of us, has risen by at least two feet! May 12 2019 - The campground put on a Mother's Day breakfast for everyone. Mary out did herself by making scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, real maple syrup and a casserole of eggs, sausage, bacon and tator tots that was really good.
