October 1, 2021 - We had a decorating contest and a carved pumpkin contest. What fun! There were three judges to pick the winners, and I think they did a great job.

Burke Mountain Ski Resort, Burke, VT
Sept 30, 2021 - Burke Mountain is a ski resort. We drove to the top and I got out to take some pictures. The scenery was great! They also have walking trails all over the mountain and chair-lifts that went over top the road. I just can’t imagine driving this road in the winter. Burke Mountain from the road

Happenings around Moose River CG
The months have been very busy with lots of people coming in and out. Mary and I have managed to get in a few games of cards in and we even taught others how to play cards and the Pegs and Jokers game while the guys were hard to work. Pig Roast Pot Luck, Moose River CG
Aug 21, 2021 - The campground had a free pig roast potluck. The campground supplied a 72-pound pigs and everyone else brought their potluck dishes. There were at least 35 people there and a really good variety of food. Afterwards, we were entertained by a DJ with a variety of music and a huge bonfire.

Seasonal Dinner, Moose River CG
Aug 18, 2021 - Seasonal Dinner. Mary and Gary put on a free dinner for all the seasonal campers to show their appreciation every year. We had a choice of steak or lobster and all salads and desserts were ordered from Tim's Deli. Norm, one of our seasonal campers, cooked the steaks to perfection while Tim served up the lobster. Pontiac Car Show at Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, CT
Jul 18, 2021 - We drove down to Uncasville, CT to surprise our friends, Diane and Frank who drove up with their classic Pontiac for the PONTIAC-OAKLAND CLUB INTERNATIONAL (POCI) show. There were over 800 cars there, both inside and outside the convention building. Boy, there were some really nice cars plus specials like the Monkey's car and the Red Baron car.

Latest project at Moose River CG
jun 20, 2021 - The latest project at the campground was to move the rental cabin down to the last spot in the campground creating a private, secluded "Glamping spot". What a view!. Gary had to put in a power line, a water line and a sewer tank, plus create a parking area. It turned out really nice and very private. The guys built a deck, put in a firepit and Jack put lights along the pathway and on the porch.

Memorial Day Weekend, Moose River CG
May 30, 2021 - Friday morning the cold front came in and the weekend was in the 50's. That hot cup of coffee helped to keep us warm. Saturday, we had our first bingo of the season attended by a dozen people braving the cold. Saturday night there was a pot luck dinner of hot dogs and hamburgers and a large bonfire. Spring has Sprung, Moose River CG
May 15, 2021 - It's been two weeks, and the campground is open. We have been helping Mary and Gary get things out and running for the summer season. The rains finally stopped, and the river is flowing really fast and the temperatures are warming up into the 70's. They say Friday is going to be in the 80's. Spring is here, the tulips are blooming in the gardens and the rest of the flowers are beginning to show themselves. Vermont has now lifted the mask mandate for those
