Happenings around Campground

The last month has been very busy with lots of people coming in and out. Mary and I have managed to get in a few games of cards in and we even taught others how to play cards and the Pegs and Jokers game.

8/7/21

We celebrated Mary and Gary owning the campground for 24 years with free cake and ice cream for everyone.

Gary had to move a trailer to another spot and Jack was used as ballast to hold down the back of the Bagotta.

We also had a bear come through the campground and someone caught it on camera

Mary bought a new table and chairs for the deck. The table has a fire in the middle and Mary put lights and tarp over top so we could sit there even in a light rain.

8/14/21

We had another Paint & Sip class. Our neighbor's 7 year old grand-daughter came up for a visit and painted with the class. She did really good too.

This on was done by the 7 year old.

8/21/21

The campground had a free pig roast pot luck. The campground supplied a 72 pound pigs and everyone else brought their pot luck dishes. There were at least 35 people there and a really good variety of food. Afterwards, we were entertained by a DJ with a variety of music and a hugh bonfire.

8/28/21

Seasonal Dinner. Mary and Gary put on a free dinner for all the seasonal campers to show their appreciation every year. We had a choice of steak or lobster and all salads and desserts were ordered from Tim's Deli. Norm, one of our seasonal campers, cooked the steaks to perfection while Tim served up the lobster. Everything was really good.

9/4/21

Tonight, we had a free ham dinner pot luck at the campground. We had eight hams, four regular and four black forests. Both hams were really good and everyone brought lots of other good stuff. Afterwards, we were entertained by by a DJ that had a nice variety of music.

9/5/21

Mary and I did the campground ice cream truck for the last time this season. Boy was this fun to do and who doesn't like free ice cream!

We also had Larry Ebber, country singer, entertain us at night. We had to set him up in the pavilion because it rained. No bonfire tonight but Larry was really good and even posed for a picture with a fan.

Jack cuts and wraps the fire wood. Here he is hard at work.

I caught Toby among the mums.

Someone painted this rock and left it at one of the sites.

We have one more event for the season on October 9th. We will be carving pumpkins and decorating campers for Halloween. I can't believe the season/summer is coming to an end.
