Wow, where did the winter go! You would think spending the winter staying at home away from friends, not going out to restaurants (yeah, I had to cook), and not going anywhere, time would drag along but here we are the end of April and we are on our way north for the summer.

We decided to fly to Vermont this year instead of riding in the train and driving for hours and staying at motels along the way. We found an United flight that flew into Manchester, NH only two hours from the campground so we made our reservations. Two weeks ago we received an email from the airline saying our flight was cancelled. CANCELLED???? Yep, due to Covid-19, they reduced flights and ours was one of them. Back to the computer to find another flight. We found Southwest to Manchester, NH so we booked our flight which arrived earlier and was cheaper; some good does come from bad. We now only had one problem, trying to figure out how to pack all our stuff. We could just put the stuff in the trunk of our car and go but now we were limited to two small bags that fit under the airline seats. It really wasn't that bad as we didn't have to pack much in clothing, etc. and anything else, we sent up.

We signed up and were approved for TSA Pre-Check authorization so we just showed our boarding passes and IDs, put our bags on the belt to go through the x-ray and walked to our gate. There was no one taking temperatures and we didn't have to show our Covid-19 cards or sign any affidavits. That surprised me as I really thought that would have been a requirement but it was not. We just had to wear our masks all the time.

Boarding the plane we had to stand in lines according to our boarding order and number, A-01 thru D-52. We had group "A" so we were among the first group to board were able to get two seats together. The flight was FULL. Guess a lot of people are really fed up with staying home....

We got a taxi from the airport to where we had our car stored and drove two hours to the campground. We said our Hellos to Mary and Gary moved our fifth-wheel into our spot. We have been setting up, getting supplies and spent some time catching up with Mary and Gary.

It rained the day we arrived and has been raining ever since and its been 37 degrees in the mornings up to 60 or 62 degrees during the day. Today we had some sunshine and got a lot done. We are now all set for the summer.

Check back again to see what's been going on in the campground. There will be some activities this year and of course, the ice cream truck will make an appearance.
