Show Me the Money Bingo

The Moose Lodge had this special bingo game on Sunday to raise money for the lodge. My friend, Dee and I went to see what it was all about. We walked in and paid for three special paper games, if we wanted to play them and told to go to the back and pick our cards. Sets of four cards laminated together were spread all over the pool table. You pick as many sets you wanted (each set of four cards cost $1) and a small cup of plastic bingo markers. We picked four sets. We were told someone would be around to collect for the cards. They played three games then collect for another three games for a total of 36 games. You could exchange any set for another or get more or less sets, if you wish after each three games were played.

Play: The caller would shuffle a deck of cards, have someone cut them and start calling from the top. He would show the card in the bingo camera for a few seconds and call the card. If that card was in one of your sets, you marked it with the bingo marker. When you had three cards marked in the same set, you yelled "Holding" and when you marked the fourth card, you yelled "Show Me the Money" and won that game. We played three games then had to pay for each set again to continue three more games before paying again for another three games and so on for 36 games. Inbetween the games, they played the three special paper games. Winnings were 50% of monies taken in for each game but was only $13 to $15. There were over 30 people there.

We had a ball complaining and switching sets, but both agreed it was too expensive and wouldn't play it again. My friend Dee won three games, I didn't win.
