Now in New Hampshire
Welcome
to our new blog
Welcome to our new blog. As you can see, I have created a new blog for 2025 on. We decided to move to a new campground in New Hampshire. We are now in a site in the mountains with no worry about flooding. As much as I, and Jack, will miss being on the river, we felt it was time to move. I will miss the people and the friends we have made, but I know friends will aways be friends regardless of distance.

What's New
October 10, 2024 - A transporter took our fifth wheel on the road after seven years in one place. Do you believe we have been at Moose River Campground for seven years! We were not sure how the fifth wheel would travel, but we didn't have any problems, and the transporter helped us set up. We took several days to check out the rules and regulations of the new campground and what and where stuff was around town. In that time, we met just about all our neighbors, and everyone was so friendly and offered help. One neighbor took us over to the other campground to watch a Halloween golf cart parade. There must have been 40 golf carts involved and was fun to watch.
The campground is actually two campgrounds, the Danforth Bay Resort on Mary's Mountain, a 944-foot peak located in the 2,661-acre Freedom Town Forest. We are in The Bluffs at Danforth Bay that is for strictly seasonal campers, and everyone must be 55 or older to live here and no kids allowed. The Danforth Bay Resort is a year-round campground for families on Danforth Bay. We can drive freely between both campgrounds and use all facilities. Talk about facilities, the clubhouse here is very large, has two floors with a kitchen, gym, lounge, game room and laundry. Outside are two saltwater swimming pools, and pickleball court. There are activities almost every day and lots on the weekends.
June 7, 2025 - It's been three weeks since we arrived at our new site in New Hampshire. We have been busy getting everything set up. The campground is large, and everyone has a golf cart, so, we just had to get one too. We purchased a 2023 EZGO gas golf cart that's in excellent condition and runs great. We shoveled and leveled three yards of blue stone onto our site. It did the whole site.
We put in railroad ties to finish the look of those already here, put in a stone pathway to our future gazebo, built the foundations for a shed and gazebo and built 5-foot-wide steps to our fifth wheel that I just love. Mike, the resorts handyman helped us with the woodwork. Jack even built a flower box for our name sign out front. Then we purchased a 7x7 foot shed and put it together so Jack could immediately fill it up, and a 12x12 foot gazebo, and skirting around the fifth wheel. Now, we are all done with any big jobs for the site and can sit in our new gazebo and enjoy it all. I especially like the look at night. We can sit outside and not worry about bugs. I have already enjoyed margaritas with my neighbor. I LOVE IT.
