Christmas in July - The Bluffs CG

July 11, 2026 - It was Christmas in July at the Bluffs. A potluck with lots of food from appetizers, soup, main dishes, chili, and desserts. There are some really good cooks here. A DJ played from 6 pm to 10 pm and kept us dancing all night. We played a game where each of us tried to shoot small balls from a pump gun through holes in a Christmas tree. It's not as easy as it sounds. We had presents, not for us but school supplies for the local elementary school. If you donated, you got a raffle ticket, and the winner got a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant. There was also a 50/50 that paid $375.

We even had a visit by Santa (wearing sandals), and several took pictures with him. It was a lot of fun with good friends, good food, and a good time. Oh, the winners of the raffle and the 50/50 were husband and wife, and it was her birthday!
