In New Hampshire - Freedom, NH
May 24, 2026 - Our flight was good and our site survived the cold and snow, and our electric golf cart's battery was still at 100% when we plugged it in again. We opened up the fifth wheel and haven't found any signs of critters anywhere!
For the past month, we have been enjoying our site and neighbors and playing cards. I even joined a Thia Chi exercise class because I have also joined the monthly "lunch bunch". I also played Bocce Ball for the first time with 7 other neighbors and had a ball (no pun intended). It's much like bowling except there are four balls weighing about 2 pounds each, and the court is gravel that's not smooth. The plan is to get your teams balls (Bocci ball) as close to the little yellow ball (Pallino ball) than the other team to score. 15 points wins the game and it's harder than it sounds. Just as you roll your ball headed toward the Pallino ball, it hits a hole and bounces in the opposite direction or hits the other team's ball and puts them closer. Our team of four women really enjoyed beating the other team of four men!
Playing Bocce Ball on Saturday mornings while others play Pickle Ball.
Memorial Day weekend, we had a golf cart parade, before the rains started, but all other plans had been cancelled due to the rain and cold. We also had an impromptu ice cream social (inside the clubhouse where it was warm). This event was decided on Friday morning and on Saturday, had 60 plus people show up. We polished off nine tubs of ice cream plus toppings. Well, it's time to go back to watching movies on TV under my Afghan.
June 1, 2026 - The weather has gotten better for a few days so we could enjoy our gazebo and even painted our fifth wheel steps.

June 7, 2026 - We did something a little different tonight. Music Bingo. This is really fun. The director of the game instructed us to "just have fun" and clapping, singing and even dancing was strongly encouraged. The game goes like this: You are handed four sheets that look much like a regular bingo card except, instead of numbers, song titles were in each square. The director would play a song on his computer and when you recognized the song, you crossed off the title if it was on your sheet. This continued until someone got a regular bingo (vertical, horizonal, diagonal) and called BINGO! The best part was it costs nothing to play, and you won a gift certificate (to where I didn't notice because I didn't win). Everyone was singing, clapping and dancing to each song making is very noisy, but a lot of fun.
