We are finally out of quarantine - June 5, 2020

We had to quarantine at the campground for two weeks (coming from Florida) which meant we could not go onto the porch, Jack couldn't work with the guys, we couldn't go shopping (Mary did that for me), and we had to pretty much stay at our campsite. Well, today we are finally out of quarantine and can leave the campground. I was even able to get my hair done, Jack can now interact with the "guys" again and I don't have to wear a mask playing cards with Mary. I have even beat her a few times (6 out of 10 games so far). Things sure are different at the campground. It has been very quiet here with only one or two campers from Vermont allowed in and no activities at all. Mary can not allow anyone on the porch and does everything with "no contact" to register. All campers must wear a mask if they come close to anyone and Mary has to take their temperatures before allowing them into the campground. She was interviewed by the local newspaper and had her picture taken taking the camper's temperatures.

This past Friday, the Governor opened the state up for tourism and increased capacity for the campground to 50%, which is only 18 sites, but it's a start. At least the guys are getting a lot done to the campground not having campers around to worry about. Most restaurants can only have seating outside or take out service and attractions still have limited access.

The weather has been great with temps in the 70's and sunny and the river is flowing strong. We saw baby ducks yesterday; one group with six and one group with eleven.

We hope everyone is staying safe and keeping cool.
