The “Castle” was the summer and retirement home of James Plant, a man who made a fortune, some $20 million, selling shoes in 1910. He had this house built for his wife on the top of a mountain overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee on 2,400 acres – from the mountaintops around the house, down to the shores of the Lake.

June 4, 2022 - Well, the guys got to work expanding the dog run at the campground. They added three more 8-foot fences to expand it by an additional 24 feet. Now it is really big and can accommodate the large dogs that come to the campground. They did a great job. May 30, 2022 - Saturday, we had a potluck dinner. I had a bottle of wine at dinner and offered some to my friend. Only problem, we didn't have a glass. No problem, I poured the wine in a bowl I had.
