Seasonal Dinner, Moose River CG
Sept 8, 2017 - Every season the campground puts on a seasonal dinner supplying everything just for the seasonal campers and this year they had both lobster and steak. They cooked forty 1-lb lobsters and grilled 30 steaks, and all the extras were catered. They fed 26 campers. This was a first for us and boy was it good. The lobsters were soft shell and relatively easy to crack even without crackers and Norm cooked the steaks to perfection, anyway you wanted it. After dinn

Quechee Gorge, Quechee, VT
Sept 7, 2017 - They call Quechee Gorge the Grand Canyon of Vermont but it's nothing like it as far as I'm concerned. Yes, its 165 feet deep and is the deepest gorge in Vermont. It serves as a popular tourist attraction in Quechee State Park and can be viewed from the U.S. Route 4 bridge and from trails on both sides of the gorge. The Ottauquechee River flows through the bottom of the gorge and Rt. 4 goes right over it.
