The rains came again and we feared it would ruin our weekend, but it didn't rain on Saturday and we were able to play bingo, have a roast beef potluck dinner and Dan Sherman entertained us again, this time, around a large bonfire.
I called bingo. The woman who normally calls, had eye surgery and asked me to call for her. What a privilege because she never lets anyone call bingo. I had a great time doing it and she said I did really good. The bingo money, except for each game and a jackpot, goes to the Northeast Kingdom Animal Shelter. This weekend they got $93.
At potluck, the campground supplied roast beef and everyone else brought the rest. It was great and all the dishes everyone brought were delicious. Afterwards, we had a huge bonfire and Dan Sherman sang and played his guitar to a large crowd. The bonfire was the first we've had in three weeks due to rain.
Sunday was a wash out because it rained all day. It did let up to a drizzle and we had a bonfire and entertained by Larry Ebere, a country singer.
Monday, was overcast all day, but we only had the ice cream truck (golfcart) go around giving away free ice cream to all campers. We decorated the golfcart for the 4th and had a ball doing it. We even had ice cream for the dogs. We did manage to have another bonfire before the rains came again.
