Barrett Jackson Car Auction - Mohegan Sun Casino
We decided to go to the Barrett Jackson Car Auction at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. It's three hours away from the campground. We stayed a few miles away from the casino at a motel that provided shuttle service to the casino. This worked out great because we didn't have to find a place to park and the shuttle dropped us off right at the entrance. We both had tickets for Friday and we spent the day walking around all the cars going on the auction block. The entire parking lot and three floors of the parking garage were full. Inside the arena we watched as they auctioned off all kinds of memorabilia and other stuff before bringing in the cars. There were some nice cars and most sold for $17,000 to $60,000. Only one sold for $100,000. We had fun walking around the cars and all the car stuff.
On Saturday Jack went to the auction while I went to play the slots. We did pretty good, he didn't buy any cars and I walked away less than $100 down. It was fun but Jack said he wouldn't bother to come to the auction here again.
